Welcome to the 21st annual Amici Ball website

For over twenty years, The Amici (amici means friends in Italian) of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, hold a gala event – the “Amici Ball” – an evening of good food, great music and a celebration with friends making wonderful memories. This year is the 21st anniversary of the Amici Ball! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 30th at the DoubleTree Hotel San Diego Hotel in Mission Valley from 5:30pm until 12:00 Midnight.
 
All proceeds from the Amici Ball support the historical preservation of the parish and the church scholarship fund. This year’s event will focus on supporting the Youth Ministry Program at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Our Lady of the Rosary Church situated on the Corner of State and Date Streets in San Diego’s “Little Italy,” is an important historical landmark. For over 86 years Our Lady of the Rosary has been celebrated as a cornerstone of the community – a solid foundation of spiritual and moral strength for the families of Little Italy and a guiding light for San Diego’s metropolitan and waterfront population through its ministry outreach.

Since 1993, the Amici of Our Lady of the Rosary has donated well over $140,000 to support scholarships for students attending local parochial elementary and secondary schools. Amici scholarships have also been awarded to college and university students enrolled in institutions of higher learning whether private, public or religious.
